Our approach
Scribble adopts an engaging and play-based approach to intervention, delivering quality outcomes for children. Services are evidence-based and family-centred, with therapy tailored to each child and family's needs. The provider uses a neurodiversity-affirming philosophy that recognises and celebrates different ways of thinking, communicating, and engaging—viewing differences as strengths rather than deficits. Therapy can be delivered in the clinic, online, or in your child's natural environments like home or school. The overall aim is to increase your child's self-identity and self-advocacy, supporting them to thrive within a neurotypical society.
Working with families
Services are family-centred, meaning families work together with therapists to develop individualised care. The admin team discusses your concerns and answers questions during the booking process. Therapists meet with families at the initial consultation to plan services around your short-term and long-term goals. Occupational Therapists can also create personalised homework packs for your child. Community visits to home, school, or kindergarten are available to support learning in real-world settings.
Meet the team
Scribble's team includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Psychologists. Occupational Therapists work to enhance skills in daily living, play, drawing, handwriting, and self-care. Speech Pathologists provide assessment and therapy for speech clarity, language development, social communication, fluency, and literacy. Psychologists adopt a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach and use diagnostic assessments to support children's self-identity and self-understanding. All services are delivered by qualified allied health professionals.
Your first visit
At the initial consultation, you will meet with your therapist to plan your child's personalised service based on case history and your short-term and long-term goals. Before this, you'll submit a booking form and our admin team will discuss your concerns, answer your questions, and help connect you with the right therapist to begin the referral process. Once therapy begins, your therapist will deliver your child's therapy program and provide recommendations to support your child and family to achieve those goals.
