  • Our approach

Sessions at Perspective Psychology Services use creative, play-based methods to help children process their experiences and discover their own inner strength. The service offers a range of evidence-based approaches including Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Sandplay Therapy. These expressive therapies work by targeting multiple areas of the brain, helping them work together while respecting each child's capacity and individual way of healing. The practice is built on a philosophy of care and respect, aiming to provide a safe base where clients can explore their needs, heal if needed, and find new appreciation of their own skills to live fulfilling lives.

  • Working with families

The service is passionate about collaborating with families as part of the care team. Parent communication and involvement is central to the approach, including partnership with other providers in your child's care such as occupational therapists, speech pathologists, GPs and paediatricians. The service offers evidence-based parenting programs, including the Child Parent Relationship Therapy group program for parents and carers of children aged 3–10. Individual tailored support recognises that your family's definition of success shapes the therapy journey.
