Our approach
The therapy approach is centred on evidence-based practice delivered by a passionate, dedicated team working across multiple disciplines. Sessions include face-to-face time with your child or family plus non-face-to-face supports where clinicians prepare, complete documentation, and collaborate with your support network. The team offers speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, and parent coaching, tailoring each service to help children succeed. Standard sessions are 60 minutes total, combining 40 minutes of direct interaction with 10 minutes of preparation and 10 minutes of clinical note-taking.
Working with families
The provider actively involves parents and carers as essential partners in therapy. Initial consultations are parent-only to discuss goals and create support plans collaboratively. Clinicians spend non-face-to-face time communicating with parents via phone, email, and reports, and also liaise with external providers like teachers and paediatricians to support your child's progress. An Adult Attendance Policy emphasises the important role parents and guardians play in creating safe and effective therapy environments.
Meet the team
The team includes over 50 qualified staff across speech pathology, occupational therapy, and psychology disciplines. Key leaders are Serena Lee (Psychology Lead and Clinical & Counselling Psychologist, Board Approved Supervisor), Lisa Smith (Senior Speech Pathologist and Team Leader at Brendale), and Snehal Vaidya (Occupational Therapy Lead). All team members are paediatric-focused and described as passionate and dedicated practitioners working within an evidence-based, multi-disciplinary framework.
Your first visit
The initial appointment process varies by service and funding type. For NDIS clients, the intake typically includes a 50–60 minute parent-only consultation (by phone or in clinic) plus 60 minutes of planning time, costing between $387.98–$505.98 depending on the service. Private and Medicare clients have a shorter intake consultation (30 minutes for speech/OT, 60 minutes for psychology) with ongoing sessions charged separately. All initial consultations include discussion of your child's needs and creation of a tailored support plan.
