Our approach
The therapist uses play, pictures and games to make therapy enjoyable for children of all ages. Sessions are structured to encourage participation through playful activities or more formalised games at the table, depending on what suits your child. Assessment involves observation opportunities for parents, followed by explanation of home practice strategies at the end of each session. Success relies on consistent practice at home for about 10–15 minutes at least four days a week, working alongside the therapist's guidance.
Working with families
Parents are invited to observe the assessment process and are given clear guidance on home practice strategies at the end of each therapy session. The therapist emphasises that your involvement and confidence directly supports your child's progress and willingness to engage in therapy. Parents are expected to practice with their child at home at least four days a week for about 10–15 minutes to ensure therapy success.

Your first visit
At the first appointment, your child will be assessed while you have the opportunity to observe. The therapist will make a diagnosis based on the assessment findings. It's helpful to bring any reports or testing results from other professionals about your child. If your child is initially shy with strangers, gentle encouragement and the parent's own confidence about the visit help children gain confidence quickly, often noticeably by the end of the first session.
