Our approach
Wonder Kids OT uses a neuroaffirming, play-based approach that honours each child's unique neurological makeup and learning style. Therapy sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and meaningful, incorporating evidence-based interventions tailored to the child's strengths, challenges, and sensory preferences. The team works collaboratively with parents, teachers, and caregivers to ensure consistent support across home, school, and community settings. Sessions focus on practical skill-building activities that promote independence and confidence, with flexible options available including clinic-based, mobile, and home-based services. Every child's therapy plan is personalised and goal-oriented, making progress both visible and achievable for families.
Working with families
Wonder Kids OT places strong emphasis on family involvement through several key strategies. The provider offers coaching for parents to empower families with practical strategies to support their child's progress both during sessions and at home. Regular communication and progress reviews keep families informed and confident about their child's development, with therapists collaborating with schools and educators to enhance participation and achievement. Sessions are designed to fit seamlessly into your family's lifestyle with flexible scheduling, and practical tools are provided to help you extend the benefits of therapy into your home routines. The team works closely with families to identify meaningful goals and celebrates every milestone together.
Meet the team
Wonder Kids OT is led by Rabiya Awan (Team Leader and Paediatric Occupational Therapist), alongside paediatric occupational therapists Priya Anand, Rainie Wai, and Bryan Zhu. The team also includes Ritika Bangera as an Administrative/Allied Health Assistant. Every therapist specialises exclusively in paediatric occupational therapy, bringing deep expertise in understanding child development at every stage and addressing conditions including autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and developmental delays. The team is registered with the NDIS and demonstrates a commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and creating warm, supportive environments where children feel valued and understood.
Your first visit
The initial consultation begins with observation of your child's behaviour and standardised assessments, alongside discussion of their developmental history with parents. The therapist identifies your child's strengths and challenges during this first session, then works with the family to set meaningful goals and develop a personalised therapy plan tailored to their specific needs. After this initial assessment, follow-up sessions are scheduled to implement the agreed therapy plan, with therapists maintaining clear communication with families throughout. Progress is monitored and adjusted as needed to ensure goals remain relevant and achievable. The entire process is designed to be welcoming and family-centred, with flexible scheduling to fit your family's lifestyle.
