- Comprehensive 45-minute assessment for new conditions to thoroughly evaluate and provide best treatment for injury.
- Follow-up Appointments
- 30-minute review appointments to monitor progress and provide exercises and treatment as necessary.
- Custom Orthoses (Splints) Fabrication
- Hand Therapists fabricate custom-made orthoses using lightweight thermoplastic material to rest the arm in optimal position.
- Prefabricated Braces
- Supply of prefabricated braces available depending on injury type.
- Home Visits
- Home visit services available where the need arises.

Our approach
Hand Therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper limb through a variety of methods. Sessions involve evaluation and assessment of the injured limb, followed by development of a specific treatment program tailored to each person's needs. Treatment focuses on improving strength and movement, and can include management of wounds and scars, particularly after surgery. A Hand Therapist works with both new and old injuries or conditions of the upper limb. The clinic offers comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing quality treatment, with home visits available where needed.
Meet the team
The clinic has an Occupational Therapist who is practicing in Hand Therapy. A Hand Therapist is a registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who has become proficient in the evaluation and treatment of the upper limb through further education and clinical experience.
Your first visit
At a first appointment, you'll receive a comprehensive initial assessment of the injured limb. The therapist will evaluate your condition and develop a specific treatment program tailored to your needs. Following this assessment, ongoing treatment sessions are provided to address your hand and upper limb concerns. The clinic is equipped to manage a range of conditions and will create a personalized plan based on your individual situation.
