  • Our approach

ND Perspective is a neurodiversity-affirming clinic where the belief is that autism and ADHD are natural variations in how people think and experience the world, not things to be changed. The focus is on supporting wellbeing, communication, independence and confidence in everyday life through evidence-based, practical approaches. The team brings both professional training and lived experience of neurodivergence to every session. Sessions are tailored to meet families at different stages of their journey, whether just exploring diagnosis or navigating therapy and the NDIS for many years. The aim is to help people better understand themselves and build tools that make daily life feel more manageable, working alongside families to create support that feels right and makes sense.

  • Working with families

ND Perspective works closely with families throughout support, treating them as partners in the process. For younger children, psychology sessions particularly focus on working closely with parents so strategies can be used at home. The clinic positions itself as supporting families and individuals together, providing guidance, practical strategies and family support so parents feel more confident. The team acknowledges that supporting a neurodivergent child can feel complex and isolating, and aims to be a place where families feel listened to and supported alongside their child.

  • Meet the team

The team is neurodivergent-led, including Alecia who leads the clinic and also navigates the NDIS as a parent of an autistic son. The multidisciplinary team brings clinical expertise through psychology, occupational therapy, behaviour support and speech pathology services. Many team members have their own lived experience of autism, ADHD and neurodiversity, with some being neurodivergent themselves and others having autistic family members. This combination of professional training and personal experience means the team has often navigated the same systems and challenges that families face.
