Our approach
NAPA's approach is rooted in individualised therapy tailored to each child's unique needs and family goals. The centre offers diverse and innovative therapies sourced globally, delivered through either intensive multi-disciplinary programs or consistent weekly sessions with the same therapist. Sessions may incorporate occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, and developmental feeding therapy, often enhanced by specialised equipment like the NeuroSuit, Galileo units, and other therapeutic tools. Therapists work collaboratively to help children reach their full potential, with particular attention to building independence in functional skills, communication, movement, and feeding. The intake process is thorough, ensuring therapists understand each child's history, goals and needs before designing their customised plan.
Working with families
NAPA emphasises working closely with families from the very beginning, with the intake process designed to capture family goals alongside the child's needs. Parents complete detailed intake forms that inform the entire therapy plan, ensuring family priorities are built into recommendations. Families access the Ocean Friends app—a dedicated client portal where they can manage appointments, receive documents, complete intake updates, and stay connected with their care team in one place. The Client Experience team offers discovery sessions for families to ask questions and clarify what to expect before starting. Throughout the process, coordinators and therapists maintain regular communication about progress and next steps, with resources provided to support families between sessions.
Meet the team
The NAPA team comprises paediatric physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and developmental feeding specialists who work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary approach. Team members are highly trained and qualified in their respective fields, delivering evidence-based therapy using both traditional and innovative techniques. Therapists draw on internationally sourced approaches and have access to specialised equipment and tools to support their practice. An intensive coordinator guides families through the intake and program-planning process, while the Client Experience team is available to answer initial questions. The centre emphasises teamwork, with therapists working together to create comprehensive, tailored programs for each child.
Your first visit
Your first step is completing an interest form on the NAPA website, which gives the team basic information about your family. You'll then receive an email with a personalised link to complete your intake form—the more thorough you are, the better the therapists can understand your child's history and needs. Before fully committing, you have the option to schedule a discovery session with the Client Experience team to ask questions and confirm NAPA is the right fit for your family. After you submit your intake, the team will review it within two weeks and determine next steps: for intensive programs, they'll assess candidacy and make recommendations; for weekly sessions, a coordinator will either schedule your first appointment or place you on the waitlist. Once ready, you'll download the Ocean Friends app, your client portal for managing appointments, accessing documents, and staying connected with your care team.
