Our approach
My Therapy House uses evidence-based, relationship-focused interventions that celebrate neurodiversity and each child's unique learning style. Sessions bring together specialised speech pathologists, occupational therapists, early childhood educators, and parent coaches who collaborate on your child's care plan. The practice emphasises a whole-child, whole-family approach in a warm, welcoming environment designed to help children and parents understand and communicate with each other. Play-based learning and developmental activities are tailored to individual needs, with flexible options available both in-clinic and online. Therapy is delivered by highly trained professionals who understand how different areas of development—such as sensory processing, motor skills, and communication—connect and influence each other.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the practice philosophy. Parent coaches teach families to understand their child's unique developmental profile and implement therapeutic strategies at home between sessions. The team maintains open and honest communication, keeping parents fully informed about methods, progress, and their child's care. Early childhood educators and other therapists partner with parents in their child's learning journey and share strategies for supporting development. The multicultural team can communicate in families' home languages, helping them feel more connected to the therapy process and making support more accessible.
Meet the team
The team includes registered Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Early Childhood Teachers, and certified Parent Coaches who all work together in one Adelaide location. Speech pathologists offer specialised training in childhood communication disorders and hold memberships with Speech Pathology Australia. Occupational therapists are registered with Occupational Therapy Australia and hold advanced training in sensory integration, neuro-developmental approaches, and autism support. Early childhood educators specialise in developmental theory and evidence-based play therapy approaches. All therapists undertake regular training and certification in various areas of child development, and the multicultural team includes therapists and reception staff fluent in multiple languages.
