Our approach
Medimind offers a holistic and nurturing approach focused on recovery and sustained wellness. Sessions synergise evidence-based medical knowledge with respect for each individual's unique experiences to improve overall wellbeing. The practice works collaboratively with clients and their medical teams to develop individualised treatment that feels comfortable and conducive to their needs. Therapists use a range of evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, tailored to each person's circumstances. The practice is committed to equipping clients with life skills to positively transform their lives and creating sustained wellness.
Meet the team
The team includes qualified psychiatrists and psychologists with strong credentials. Dr Richa Rastogi, the Director and Consultant Psychiatrist, holds an MBBS and FRANZCP qualification and has extensive experience in mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and ADHD. Psychologists on the team include Fariha Khan (Masters in Psychology, 15 years' experience), Dr Indrani Mukherjee (PhD, over 20 years' experience in mental health), Jill Abeshouse (Masters in Psychology, psychotherapist), and Shumaila Khan (Masters in Professional Psychology, specialist in adolescents and young adults). All psychiatrists are credited by RANZCP and psychologists by the Australian Psychology Society and Psychology Board of Australia, with Medicare registration and hospital affiliations.
