  • Working with families

    Parents and carers are central to the therapy process. Your Speech Pathologist will work collaboratively with you to determine therapy frequency and goals, discuss the length of time your child may need therapy, and emphasise the importance of home practice in achieving communicative goals. The practice welcomes communication from families and encourages parents and carers to get in touch by phone, email or through an online intake form.

  • Your first visit

    The initial consultation is free and can be booked without a referral. At the first appointment, your Speech Pathologist will discuss the duration and type of therapy sessions that best suit your child's needs and goals. Formal assessments typically take 1 to 2 hours and will be split into two separate appointments if longer than 1 hour. Your Speech Pathologist will also discuss the recommended frequency of sessions (weekly or fortnightly) and help you understand the best service plan to support your child's communicative goals.
