Our approach
Little Warriors takes a family-centred approach where parents are actively involved throughout the therapy process. The team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and dietitians work collaboratively to provide holistic, evidence-based care tailored to each child's needs. Sessions focus on building a child's strengths and interests to enhance learning and meaningful participation in everyday activities. The clinic values helping children develop secure relationships, emotional regulation, and a positive sense of belonging, while supporting families to build positive health and nutrition habits over time. Whether delivered in-clinic, via telehealth, or through small group programs, therapy is designed to empower children and reduce stress around areas like communication, feeding, and daily living skills.
Working with families
Parents are actively involved in the therapy process as core members of the team, with the clinic taking a family-centred approach to reduce stress and build confidence. Therapists consult with your child's school, childcare, and other professionals working with them to ensure consistent support across settings. The team trains and interacts with family members to build relational skills and connections, and works collaboratively with carers to provide tailored solutions for your child's specific needs. Communication about progress and recommendations is shared through comprehensive reports and ongoing consultation throughout treatment.
Meet the team
The team includes five speech pathologists with extensive experience in areas such as feeding therapy, AAC devices, literacy, autism, neurodivergence, and complex communication needs. Two occupational therapists support children with sensory processing, developmental delay, emotional regulation, and daily living skills, with one holding specialised mental health training. A dietitian with a Master's qualification has experience with feeding difficulties, nutritional deficiencies, and medical conditions. All therapists are registered professionals with additional specialised training, and allied health assistants provide support across services. The director, Hannah McClung, is a certified speech pathologist and feeding therapist with extensive experience in neurodivergence, severe disabilities, and behavioural support.
