  • Our approach

The clinic offers holistic and personalised speech therapy and occupational therapy tailored to each child's interests and functional goals. Sessions are delivered through varied approaches including one-on-one therapy, joint speech and occupational therapy sessions, and structured small groups. The team recognises and celebrates neurodiverse children's strengths and uniqueness, creating safe and engaging environments where children can develop motivation and confidence. Evidence-based assessment and therapy are provided with a strong focus on supporting children's independence and confidence in everyday life skills. The philosophy embraces each child's individual needs and involves collaborative goal-setting with families.

  • Working with families

The clinic places strong emphasis on family engagement and communication throughout the therapeutic process. Goals are set in consultation with parents, and personalised plans take into account both the child's and family's personal needs. The team guides parents to understand their child's needs and helps build stronger family connections, respecting parents' decisions about diagnosis and focusing on positive outcomes. Regular check-ins occur with families even after therapy sessions end, and the clinic plans and communicates with teachers and other staff to support transitions like starting school. Parent education and home practice implementation are integral to the therapy approach.

  • Meet the team

The team consists of four speech pathologists and five occupational therapists, all with relevant qualifications and extensive paediatric experience. Speech pathologists include Kibby Fung (Master of Speech Pathology from University of Melbourne, specialising in early intervention and parent-coaching), Alice Gibbs-Cohen (Bachelor of Speech Pathology, experienced in neurodiversity-affirming care), and Sioned King (Bachelor of Speech Pathology, dedicated to family support). Occupational therapists include Marina Yousseff (Master from La Trobe University, over eight years' experience in various settings), Penni Hohtoulaas (Master from La Trobe University, experienced with autism and ADHD), Maegan Miller, Lora Guirguis, and Samara (all Bachelor-qualified). The team is multilingual and culturally sensitive.

  • Your first visit

At the first appointment, a detailed assessment is conducted to evaluate your child's strengths and areas of support needed. Following this assessment, findings are discussed with you and an overview of the therapy plan is shared. Joint goal-setting then takes place in consultation with you to ensure alignment with your family's priorities. Based on your child's and your personal needs, the team determines the type of therapy, frequency of sessions, and any out-of-home support recommendations. No referral is required to book an initial appointment.
