  • Our approach

Little Big Learners combines outdoor exploration with structured learning in numeracy and literacy, preparing children for school while nurturing their love of nature and hands-on discovery. Sessions follow a balanced approach that integrates social-emotional skill development alongside academic foundations. The program is tailored to meet the individual needs of young learners through activities designed to build confidence and curiosity. Children engage in both indoor learning activities and outdoor experiences, creating an environment where nature-based play and formal skill-building work together. Parent involvement is a critical part of sessions, with guardians encouraged to actively participate and help their child with different tasks and activities.

  • Working with families

Parent involvement is described as critical to the playgroup experience, and guardians are responsible for helping their child with different tasks and activities unless otherwise advised by the facilitator. Families receive a welcome email with all necessary information after enrollment and are added to a WhatsApp group where further communication and session documentation takes place. Parents are encouraged to actively participate during sessions, with any family member over 18 years old welcome to attend as a guardian. The program maintains regular communication with families through WhatsApp, sharing learning and play scenarios documented with photos of meaningful moments from sessions.

  • Your first visit

Once you register your child, you will receive a welcome email within the next business day containing all necessary information, and you will be added to the WhatsApp group for further communication. Before your first session, you'll get a detailed list of what to pack and how to dress for both children and adults, along with meeting times and points and other general information to prepare you. Trial sessions are available for new members so you can experience the program before committing to a full term enrollment. The program emphasizes active parental participation from the start, so guardians are expected to help their child with activities and tasks during sessions.
