Our approach
Kip McGrath provides live and interactive tutoring sessions tailored to each child's individual learning needs, combining computer activities with written work to keep students motivated and engaged. Sessions focus on one subject per week—either English or Maths—and follow a structured, step-by-step approach where each concept is taught systematically and children build skills progressively. Qualified teachers deliver personalised lessons in small groups of no more than five students, ensuring plenty of individual attention while still providing a supportive group environment. The methodology is designed not just to close learning gaps but to build confidence and self-esteem alongside academic skills, helping children catch up, keep up, and excel with confidence.
Working with families
Parents play a key role in their child's success through the easy-to-use parent portal, which allows them to track progress, view upcoming lessons, reschedule sessions, and review notes from tutoring sessions and homework. Regular progress reports and updates are provided by the tutor, and two-way communication between parents and tutors is encouraged to best support the child's learning. Parents are asked to commit to the program's goals and timeframes, ensure consistent attendance, and help their child complete homework each week to consolidate learning.
Your first visit
The initial assessment is free and conducted by a qualified teacher to determine exactly where your child needs support and identify any learning gaps. During this assessment, the tutor will evaluate your child's current skill level and establish their starting point on the program. Following the assessment, honest feedback is provided and an individual learning program is created that is tailored to your child's specific needs and challenges. This no-obligation appointment helps parents understand where their child stands and what support they might need to succeed.
