Our approach
Physiotherapy sessions use a play-based, fun approach where children work towards their functional and meaningful goals in an enjoyable environment. The team takes a collaborative stance, working with your other medical and allied health providers as well as your family to deliver team-based care. Sessions can occur in various settings including the clinic, home, school, parks, pools, and sports facilities across the Gold Coast. The physiotherapists are passionate about helping children of all ages achieve their movement milestones and develop their physical and functional potential through engaging movement experiences. Each program is individualised to suit your child's unique needs and your family's situation, ensuring your child is always progressing towards their specific goals.
Working with families
The therapy and coaching teams are dedicated to working with the whole family in achieving their goals, recognising that each family is individual and requires an individualised approach. Families are supported throughout all stages of childhood and adolescence, with the team collaborating with your other medical and allied health providers involved in your child's care. The physiotherapists work to ensure that your child is consistently progressing towards meaningful family goals, whether that be learning to swim, joining a local soccer team, or other functional objectives. Assistance is also available for families who are applying for funding such as NDIS or ECEI schemes.
Meet the team
The paediatric physiotherapy team is led by Laura Fraser, a Senior Physiotherapist in Paediatrics and Director, alongside Adam Gibbons, a Physiotherapist specialising in Paediatrics. Both bring extensive experience in supporting children throughout all stages of development from infancy through to early adulthood. The Inclusive Tennis Academy is supported by Tennis Coaches and Therapy Assistants who work collaboratively with the physiotherapy team. The broader therapy team is described as collaborative, supportive and experienced health professionals who are dedicated to providing individualised programs and genuinely care about helping children achieve their full physical and functional potential.
Your first visit
All new patients are required to have an initial consultation with one of the experienced paediatric physiotherapists. During this appointment, the therapist will identify the cause of any movement delays or difficulties your child may be experiencing. This assessment allows the team to create an individualised intervention plan that is specifically suited to your child and works with your family's individual situation. The cost of this initial consultation varies depending on the type of service, its duration, and where it takes place, so it's best to contact the clinic for an accurate estimate specific to your child's needs.
