Our approach
The provider takes a comprehensive, whole-picture approach to infant feeding challenges. Sessions explore feeding patterns, oral function, reflux symptoms, nervous system regulation, and potential contributing factors like food sensitivities or digestive discomfort. The 75-minute online consultation is designed to help you understand what may be contributing to your child's symptoms and identify the support most likely to help. Together, you'll work through what's affecting your child and what practical changes can be implemented moving forward. Clear answers and practical recommendations form the foundation of the approach.
Working with families
The provider involves parents actively throughout the process by reviewing your video footage of feeding, discussing findings with you during the consultation, and providing a personalised written plan. Follow-up support via text or email for 7 days ensures you have direct communication while implementing changes. The approach centres on understanding your child's feeding picture with you and equipping you with practical recommendations you can action at home.
Your first visit
The first appointment is a comprehensive feeding assessment conducted via secure web conferencing for 1 hour 15 minutes. It includes a review of feeding and functional video footage you provide, assessment of oral function and overall feeding patterns, and discussion of what may be contributing to your child's symptoms. You'll receive a comprehensive written summary with a personalised plan tailored to your situation. The provider also offers 7 days of follow-up support via text or email while you begin implementing changes, ensuring you have guidance during this initial phase.
