Our approach
Therapy at Hinterland Children's Therapy combines play-based, evidence-informed approaches set in a peaceful, nature-rich environment on the clinic's acreage. Sessions focus on the child's individual goals—emotional, social, physical, and cognitive—with therapists building trusting relationships and allowing children to lead activities at their own comfortable pace. The clinic uses specialist equipment like Pilates machines and sports equipment, along with outdoor spaces by the creek and paddocks to encourage natural movement and exploration. Therapy feels like play rather than formal clinical work, with the setting's animals, fresh air, and calm atmosphere providing motivation and sensory regulation. The aim is to make therapy fun, meaningful, and empowering for each child while supporting parents with practical tools and strategies they can use at home.
