Our approach
At Hello Kids Therapy Hub, therapy moves away from traditional "fixing" models towards a strengths-based approach in a sensory-safe space where neurodivergent children can thrive. The focus is on self-advocacy, authentic communication, and functional goals that matter to your child's daily life, rather than just isolated skills. Sessions are delivered by highly trained speech pathologists and are designed to be fun and engaging, helping children build both communication skills and confidence. The team celebrates unique strengths and works to foster authentic connections with each child. Evidence-based approaches are tailored to individual needs, whether addressing speech development, early language, social communication, literacy, stuttering, or autism support.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the therapy approach, with regular communication about your child's progress and consistent updates throughout their therapy journey. The speech pathologist discusses recommended therapy plans with families and keeps you informed every step of the way, with regular progress reviews. Sessions include 20 minutes of indirect time dedicated to documentation, homework preparation and family support, ensuring parents are equipped with strategies to reinforce learning at home. The team prioritises coordination across all environments, working closely with schools, kindergartens, childcare centres and other professionals to ensure consistent support, and they are committed to supporting families across different funding options including NDIS and private payments.
Meet the team
The team comprises experienced paediatric speech pathologists selected for their clinical skill and empathetic nature, including Darcie, Remy, Tianna, and Steph, each deeply committed to supporting diverse family needs and building strong bonds with clients. Sandy is a literacy specialist with primary and secondary teaching experience who supports reading and spelling development. Every team member is highly trained and experienced in their field, with access to evidence-based programs including Hanen® strategies for early language and the Lidcombe Program for stuttering support. The team regularly collaborates with teachers, early childhood educators, occupational therapists, paediatricians and other allied health professionals.
Your first visit
Your journey begins with an initial assessment where a speech pathologist assesses your child and discusses goals with your family in a welcoming, child-friendly clinic designed to help kids feel comfortable and engaged. The assessment helps identify your child's strengths and needs, forming the basis for a personalised therapy plan tailored to their individual requirements. After the initial assessment, your speech pathologist will discuss a recommended therapy plan with you, taking into account whether your child might benefit from a short block of sessions or longer-term support depending on their needs. Regular progress reviews keep you informed every step of the way. No referral is required to book your initial consultation—you can contact the team directly to schedule.
