Our approach
Healthy Strides uses the S.T.A.R.T framework, which is built on modern neuroplasticity principles rather than outdated manual facilitation techniques. Sessions begin with the child's own motivation and choice, using real-world, meaningful skills that translate directly to daily life—like climbing stairs at home or playing on the playground—rather than generic exercises. Therapy is carefully dosed with built-in rest and consolidation periods so the brain can form new pathways without the stress-inducing effects of over-intensity. Sessions take place in natural or simulated everyday settings without reliance on boxes or balance beams, and celebrate when children form positive associations, laugh, choose, and succeed, turning therapy into a joyful journey that builds confidence and independence.
