• Our approach

  Heads & Tails uses a cross-theoretical approach that is mindful, relational, trauma-informed, and developmentally sensitive. Sessions blend traditional therapeutic methods with the calming influence of nature, wildlife, and equine-assisted therapy in their Blue Mountains setting. The approach emphasises awareness-based techniques, relationship and attachment-based strategies, and understanding trauma through a neuroscience lens. This unique combination creates a peaceful, immersive environment where children and families can work toward emotional well-being. The therapeutic services include clinical psychology assessment and treatment, counselling and psychotherapy, and experiential nature-based and equine-assisted therapy designed to promote confidence, self-awareness, and emotional connection.
