Our approach
Experienced practitioners use evidence-based approaches to deliver personalised care tailored to each child's unique needs and goals. Sessions are highly individualised and include detailed assessments of physical condition, therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy and exercise prescription, and self-management strategies families can practise at home. The team works closely with you, your family and support networks in an encouraging environment to help children improve physical function, mobility and independence. Treatment plans are customised based on findings from assessments of range of motion, strength, balance, and mobility, with ongoing monitoring and adjustments to support progress toward each child's goals.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the approach—the team works closely with you, your family and support people to ensure effective care and to meet everyone's needs and expectations. Communication happens during initial assessments, when goals are discussed and families contribute to treatment planning, and throughout ongoing therapy as progress is monitored and treatment plans are adjusted. The physiotherapist recommends self-management strategies and techniques families can practise at home between sessions. Regular updates on progress and milestones help families understand their child's development and remain actively involved in supporting their goals.
Your first visit
Your first appointment begins with a detailed assessment to understand your child's current physical condition, any pain or challenges they're experiencing, and your short-term and long-term goals. The physiotherapist will evaluate range of motion, strength, balance, and mobility, and observe how your child performs specific daily activities to identify areas needing support. They will discuss therapeutic options and outline a personalised treatment plan for upcoming sessions, working with you and any support people to ensure everyone's needs and expectations are clearly understood. The appointment establishes the foundation for ongoing, goal-focused care tailored to your child's unique circumstances.
