  • Our approach

Therapy at Grow & Tell follows a structured, evidence-led approach centred on play-based activities that are engaging, meaningful, and fun for children. Sessions are tailored to each child's individual learning needs and strengths, with qualified therapists guiding progress through careful assessment, collaborative goal-setting with families, and regular reviews. All therapy is delivered by therapists registered with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and Occupational Therapy Australia (OTAus). Homework and communication books support ongoing practice at home and in school or childcare settings, ensuring progress extends beyond the therapy room.

  • Working with families

The provider works closely with families to ensure therapy feels practical, supportive, and tailored to real life, helping parents feel informed and confident every step of the way. Communication books are provided to schools and childcare settings to support practice across environments. During missed sessions, the clinician may contact preschool or school, conduct parent-only telehealth, liaise with other professionals, or send resources and homework packs. Therapists collaborate with families to set meaningful goals and provide regular updates and reviews on your child's progress milestones.

  • Meet the team

The speech pathology team includes Elena Kosmas (Lead Speech Pathologist, Bachelor of Speech Pathology, SPA member with Autism & Communication training), Bethany Fisher (Bachelor of Speech Pathology, SPA member), and several other qualified speech pathologists with experience in areas like autism, ADHD, speech sound disorders, and stuttering. The occupational therapy team includes Allen Gongora (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Auckland University of Technology, with neurological experience) and Japeth Tico Dia (Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy, certified in Ayres' Sensory Integration), along with additional OTs with expertise in developmental needs, fine motor skills, and sensory processing. All therapists are registered professionals bringing diverse qualifications and specialised experience.

  • Your first visit

At the first appointment, the therapy team carefully and comprehensively evaluates your child to understand their strengths and areas for support. Following assessment, therapists work closely with you to set meaningful and achievable goals. If you already have a report from the last 12 months, therapy can begin immediately. The process includes assessment, planning, tailored play-based therapy sessions, regular progress updates and reviews, and home practice opportunities to support your child's ongoing growth and development.
