Our approach
Gidget Foundation Australia provides specialised support for perinatal mental health through accessible, timely services for expectant, new and potential parents. Support is delivered by perinatal mental health clinicians through both individual and group sessions, available in-person or online. Individual psychological sessions are bulk-billed and can be held at Gidget House locations or via the Start Talking telehealth program. Group programs, called Gidget Village, offer safe and confidential spaces to work through common issues, encourage others, and share support. The organisation also runs moderated peer support groups through Gidget Virtual Villages, connecting parents in a judgement-free environment.
