Our approach
Emergence Education places connection before curriculum, combining evidence-informed teaching with genuine relationships to help young people build confidence and independence. Sessions are tailored to each student's unique needs, strengths and goals, and may include subject tutoring, executive function coaching, body doubling, study skills support, confidence building and self-advocacy work. The team draws on their roots in teaching and deep understanding of neurodivergent experience to create a warm, supportive environment. Every young person's education journey is different, so every session looks a little different too, adapting to meet students where they are on the day. The approach is grounded in honesty, integrity, courage and kindness, with a focus on transforming lives through long-term, relationship-based support rather than simply improving grades.
Working with families
Families are central to the Emergence Education approach, with the team viewing themselves as part of your family team dedicated to lightening the load and brightening the path. Support includes parent advocacy, helping families navigate complex school environments, and collaborative planning with schools where needed. The service offers practical strategies and emotional support for parents, alongside school liaison and help with IEP/ILP documents. The team works holistically with both parents and students, tailoring communication and involvement to each family's needs. Families can reach out via email at hello@emergence-education.com.au or phone 03 9969 7675, and existing families access their bookings through the Tutor Bird calendar system.
