Our approach
Dr Chang works collaboratively with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that empower them to make choices right for them. He treats each person as an individual with dignity and respect, recognising everyone has their own stories and experiences. He uses the most up-to-date evidence-based treatments to support clients on their journey to recovery and wellness. Sessions focus on providing a professional service at every step, with the psychiatrist drawing on extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating complex mental health conditions.
Meet the team
Dr David Chang is a psychiatrist with 16 years of specialist expertise treating complex mental health conditions. He completed his medical training at King's College in London (MBBS) and a BSc in Physiology, followed by 6 years of specialist psychiatry training in competitive London programmes (South London and Maudsley, and South West London and St George's). He holds fellowships with the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), and has over 10 years of experience in public and private practice in Perth. An administration team supports the clinic with appointment scheduling and Medicare rebate processing.
Your first visit
Before your appointment, you'll receive email confirmation at least 24 hours in advance. Initial appointments can be conducted over Zoom if you prefer, or in person at the clinic—just let the team know your preference when booking. You're welcome to bring a partner, carer, or support person to your appointment for additional support. The team will ask questions to understand your situation and work with you to develop a treatment plan that's right for you. Payment is by EFTPOS at the time of the consultation, and the reception team will process your Medicare rebate claim immediately if you bring your debit card.
