Our approach
De Silva Kids Clinic takes a family-centred, multidisciplinary approach to therapy. The team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists work together to provide holistic care, ensuring each child receives well-rounded support tailored to their unique needs. Sessions are designed to be engaging, effective, and supportive, with therapists committed to making the experience meaningful for both the child and their family. The clinic uses evidence-based, child-centred practices and has state-of-the-art facilities including a purpose-built sensory gym and advanced therapy tools to create a welcoming environment. Whether through individual therapy, group programs, or mobile services, the clinic partners with families to create personalised plans that make a real difference in each child's development.
Working with families
De Silva Kids Clinic is deeply committed to family involvement and communication. The clinic explicitly operates on a collaborative care model, believing in partnering with families every step of the way to create personalised plans. The team values family-centred practice and regularly engages with parents and carers as partners in the child's development journey. Therapists actively involve families in therapy planning and support, with approaches specifically designed to be culturally responsive and inclusive. The clinic also supports families through diverse backgrounds and values, with team members emphasising the importance of understanding and respecting family perspectives in creating meaningful and functional outcomes for each child.
