• Our approach

  At Crest, therapy is practical, thoughtful and embedded into everyday life. Rather than delivering isolated sessions, clinicians look beyond individual goals to consider the whole person, their environment, relationships and support systems. They bring real-world insight into how classrooms and learning environments function, and understand the funding systems families navigate. Sessions are designed to build capacity, strengthen systems and create meaningful, lasting change that extends across home, school and community settings. The approach is neuro-affirming and family-centred, with a focus on collaboration with educators and support teams.

• Working with families

  A Key Worker provides consistent, coordinated support and acts as your main point of contact, working alongside therapists, educators and other professionals to ensure clear communication and aligned goals. This personalised, collaborative approach is focused on helping families feel confident and supported throughout their therapy journey. The practice takes a family-centred approach, working closely with parents and carers to help children build confidence and meaningful connections in everyday life. Regular communication and involvement with educators and support teams ensures that strategies extend across all settings where the child spends time.

• Meet the team

  The team includes Abbey, the Director, leading a multidisciplinary group of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, key workers and allied health assistants. Speech pathologists include Rosemary (15+ years' experience across Sydney Children's Hospital), Vickie (10+ years in community health, acute hospital and rural settings), Therese (specialising in children aged 2–18), Rachelle (supporting neurodivergent children), Anjali (decade of experience across India and Australia), Laura (expertise in orofacial myology), and Abi (warm rapport with children and families). Occupational therapists include Celine (5+ years in early intervention and ASD support), Belinda (adult and paediatric experience), and Katherine (specialising in DIR Floortime and SOS Feeding). Pam is the Key Worker with 35+ years in early childhood, and Jess manages the practice.

• Your first visit

  The initial assessment is timely, holistic and neuro-affirming, conducted by highly experienced speech and occupational therapists without long waitlists. The assessment process considers the individual within their everyday environments—clinic, community, home, school and early learning—and may include interviews, naturalistic observations, and standardised assessments where appropriate. You will receive a comprehensive report with clear outcomes and practical, individualised recommendations to support development across all settings. This process is designed to give you a thorough understanding of your child's needs and how to support them in real-world contexts.
