Our approach
Chatterbox takes a neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based approach to therapy, celebrating each child's unique strengths and differences. Sessions are personalised and fun, with therapists who know how to incorporate children's favourite toys and interests into learning so progress happens naturally. The team breaks goals into achievable steps, knows when to challenge children appropriately, and teaches in varied ways to support consistent development. Children experience success at every stage while actually enjoying the learning process in fully-equipped therapy rooms designed to make therapy engaging and convenient for families.
Working with families
Chatterbox is committed to partnering with families and empowering parents with strategies and support that feel respectful and helpful. Parents are involved in the assessment process, which shapes a personalised therapy plan, and can choose session formats that work best for their family. The neurodiversity-affirming philosophy includes listening to families' goals and working together to build skills in ways that are meaningful and aligned with each child's pace. The team aims to keep families confident and supported throughout their therapy journey, equipping parents with practical strategies for home.
Your first visit
The first step is a comprehensive screening and assessment to understand where your child is starting from developmentally. This evaluation provides a clear outline of your child's strengths and areas for growth, allowing the team to develop a personalised therapy plan tailored to your child's individual needs. Assessment helps determine whether your child may benefit from support and identifies the best path forward for their development. Once this is complete, you can choose whether therapy sessions happen in person at one of the clinic locations or via online services, whichever suits your family best.
