Our approach
Blossom uses functional, play-based therapy delivered within the clinic, home, community, schools and pools to help children build strength, coordination and mobility towards their full potential. Sessions are tailored to each child's needs through thorough assessments, with therapeutic play interventions that are fun, engaging and clinically relevant. The approach is evidence-based and holistic, with specialised therapies available including Dynamic Movement Intervention, gait training, body weight supported gait therapy, serial casting, functional electrical stimulation and continence physiotherapy. Emma, the therapist, is passionate about building children's self-efficacy and confidence in their abilities, which supports development of resilience, relationships and a greater sense of self. Parents and carers are provided with education and skill-building so therapeutic work continues throughout the child's day for the best outcomes.
Working with families
Providing education and building the skills of parents, guardians and carers is essential to ensure your child receives therapeutic interventions across their day for the best outcome. The therapist works closely with families to support them in extending the therapeutic approach into home and community settings. You can contact the clinic directly with any questions or concerns via phone, email or the website contact form, with staff available during business hours Monday to Friday. The clinic also provides advocacy and support to help families access funding and services, including completing assessments and NDIS applications to ensure your child gets the support they need.

Your first visit
At an initial appointment, a thorough assessment is completed to determine the most relevant and effective approach for your child. The assessment may use research-based tools such as the HINE or Bayleys to assist in early diagnosis and guide interventions. During this process, the therapist gathers information about your child's needs and goals to create a tailored plan. You can book your initial appointment online or by calling the clinic to arrange a time that suits your family, with appointments available both in-clinic and through mobile services depending on your needs.
