Our approach
At Bilingo Speech, therapy is built on collaboration—the clinician works alongside the child, their caregivers, families, and community supports to help them reach their full potential. Sessions are flexible and tailored to suit families, delivered either in-person through mobile services in Perth or online via telehealth across Australia. For speech pathology, the focus includes areas like speech sounds, language skills, stuttering, social and play skills, and communication support. Occupational therapy uses a creative, play-based approach drawing on pretend play, role play, and problem-solving to build foundational skills in a way that feels natural rather than clinical. Sessions are delivered in English and/or Mandarin to match what works best for each child and family.
Working with families
The practice is founded on the principle of working alongside caregivers and families, treating them as integral partners in supporting the child. Clinicians speak English and Mandarin, which means assessments account for your child's full linguistic background and therapy can be delivered in the language that best suits your family. The team also works closely with families to develop home practice that fits naturally into everyday language routines, ensuring support extends beyond the therapy session.
Meet the team
The team includes Sue, a speech pathologist and practice founder who is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa Melayu; Aimee, a speech pathologist holding dual master's degrees in Education and Speech Pathology with many years of experience as a Mandarin educator and fluency in English and Mandarin; and an occupational therapist specialising in early intervention who is fluent in English and Mandarin and uses a creative, play-based approach. The clinicians work collaboratively to provide holistic support for children.
