Our approach
A Registered Music Therapist uses music intentionally to support a child's development, wellbeing, and connection with others through an evidence-based clinical approach. Each session is tailored to the child, using rhythm, melody, movement, and safe interaction to reach children in ways traditional therapies can't. The therapist works with the whole body and nervous system to build communication, regulate emotions, support motor development, and foster confidence. Whether through singing, drumming, co-creating sound, or simply listening together, sessions meet each child where they are and provide a space where therapy feels safe and progress can unfold.
Meet the team
Tara Del Borrello is the Registered Music Therapist at Baby Steps, known for her gentle clarity and intuitive understanding of what each child needs. She holds advanced clinical training in neurologic music therapy, bringing both scientific depth and creative precision to her work. Her approach is particularly supportive for neurodivergent children, babies with early regulation challenges, and children who thrive with sensory-based, non-verbal input. Parents often describe her sessions as moving not just for the child, but for the whole family.
