  • Our approach

Art of Smart's tutoring philosophy focuses on three key areas: maintaining student wellbeing by balancing studies with mental health, growing confidence through understanding and improved marks, and developing healthy study habits that extend beyond school. This research-based approach draws on over 10 years of studying Australia's top students and aims to help students succeed both academically and in life. Tutors work as mentors and role models, breaking down complex concepts clearly while keeping sessions engaging and motivating. Sessions are delivered one-on-one or in small groups, available face-to-face at home or campus locations, or online via video conferencing with interactive whiteboards and access to comprehensive learning materials.

  • Meet the team

The tutoring team consists of highly qualified educators including over 98 ATAR scorers, pre-service teachers, Master's and PhD students, and qualified educators with strong academic records. Tutors are selected not only for subject expertise but also for their communication skills and ability to break down complex concepts clearly. They act as mentors and role models who help students build confidence, develop effective study habits, and provide genuine support beyond academics. Out of over 4,500 applications each year, only 1 in 7 make it through the rigorous recruitment process to ensure students learn from the very best.
