• Our approach

  Amazing Kids uses a play-based, evidence-based approach centred on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and Skills-Based Treatment (SBT). Sessions focus on positive and fun relationships between adults, peers and children to develop skills across communication, joint attention, cognition, behaviour, independence, motor skills and social abilities. The therapy is delivered one-on-one in clinic, home and community settings, with parent involvement and training as a key component. Sessions are individualised to each child's unique needs, with the belief that children's everyday environments and routines are essential learning spaces where families and caregivers are empowered to support development.

• Working with families

  Families are recognised as the most important resource for a child's skill development and are actively involved throughout their child's journey. The team maintains clear communication between operations and clinical staff, providing families with transparent information about their child's progress and the strategies being used. Parent training and involvement is a key component of the ESDM approach, with the team working to empower families and caregivers to deliver support in everyday settings and routines. The Program Manager serves as a dedicated contact point, collaborating with all team members to understand each family's unique circumstances and needs, whether navigating NDIS processes or accessing support privately.

• Meet the team

  The team comprises experienced early support clinicians who are tertiary educated professionals with backgrounds in health-related disciplines such as education, early childhood education, speech pathology, psychology, occupational therapy and applied behaviour analysis. Specialists include Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs), Certified Behaviour Analysts (CBAs), and certified ESDM therapists, many with over five to ten years' experience in early intervention. All team members undergo intensive training to meet fidelity standards set by the UC Davis Mind Institute, completing a 6-18 month certification process including one-on-one training and formal workshops. Clinical leads across both Hawthorn and Williamstown clinics oversee service delivery, alongside an Allied Health Services Manager who leads occupational therapy and speech pathology portfolios and ensures compliance with best practice policies and procedures.

• Your first visit

  The first appointment begins with a free 60-minute initial consultation at one of the two clinics, where you'll meet the friendly team to explore whether Amazing Kids is the right fit for your child. After this, you'll register with the operations team to confirm your preferred days and times, and they'll provide you with available sessions. In your first session, you'll come and meet the team so they can learn about your child and begin to individualise support tailored to their specific needs. This initial process ensures the service is customised from the start to support your child's development.
