Our approach
Allied Therapeutic Services uses a play-based learning philosophy, recognising that learning is about joy as well as progress. Sessions are tailored to each child's unique needs and are designed to be engaging and motivating. The provider works closely with families and support networks to help children thrive in daily life—at home, school, or work. Sessions focus on building independence and skills through interactive activities suited to the child's age and goals. A comprehensive report including session notes and recommendations is provided after assessment, with homework or further guidance as needed.
Working with families
Parents and carers are central to the provider's approach. The team works closely with families and support networks to help children thrive, and offers a range of family-focused options including family sessions, parent/carer consultations, and support worker training. After assessment, you'll receive recommendations for further training or education for you, your carers, or your parents as needed. The provider also offers resource development to support families in their child's progress.
Meet the team
Allied Therapeutic Services has a multidisciplinary team including NDIS-registered psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and behavioural support specialists. Sessions are run by qualified therapists or allied health assistants under the supervision of a senior therapist. The team is directed by Filan Fisteku. The provider is NDIS-registered and all clinicians are qualified, working together to ensure every piece of care fits the individual's needs and goals.
Your first visit
Your first appointment will include an assessment to understand your child's needs and goals. Based on this initial assessment, the team will develop a personalised plan for ongoing support and discuss how often sessions should occur—whether weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. You'll receive a comprehensive report after the assessment that includes notes from the session and any homework or recommendations for further training or education. The team will work with you and your funding (such as NDIS) to ensure the support fits your child's needs. Sessions are generally 60 minutes (45 minutes of session time and 15 minutes of note-taking).
