Working with families
The practice emphasises family-focused care and maintains communication with parents through their reception staff, who can answer many enquiries and take messages for the paediatrician. Parents are asked to bring relevant information to appointments and may request forms to be completed by the paediatrician (at the doctor's discretion). During the COVID-19 period, the practice limited appointments to one adult parent or carer per child to keep families safe, with exceptions for breastfeeding mothers and children with complex conditions. The practice is committed to protecting patient privacy in line with relevant Privacy and Health Records Acts.
