  • Our approach

Evidence-based therapy is delivered with a holistic approach that focuses on each child's individual strengths and needs. Sessions incorporate practical strategies designed for daily use outside the clinic, with goals continually adjusted based on progress and family needs. The provider uses a combination of informal observations, formal assessments, and parent/teacher reports rather than assessment results in isolation. Family involvement is central to the therapeutic process, with sessions structured to help children transfer skills into their everyday environments. Both face-to-face and telehealth options are available, with telehealth offering benefits including high motivation, improved attention span, reduced distractions, and the same clinical outcomes as in-person sessions.

  • Working with families

Collaboration with families is central to the approach, recognizing that working closely with parents, siblings, carers, teachers, and other allied health professionals helps children reach their full potential. Parents are involved in goal-setting and receive practical strategies for use at home and in daily life. The provider values family feedback and keeps families updated on progress, amending goals throughout therapy based on the client's progress and family needs. Open, honest communication with families is a core value, with the provider encouraging feedback and demonstrating transparency in all interactions.

  • Your first visit

The first step is a free 15-minute discovery call to understand your needs and concerns, and determine if the service is right for your family. Following this, your child is placed on a waitlist or offered an initial appointment depending on availability. Once booked, you'll complete several forms prior to the session. During the initial session (45–90 minutes), the therapist administers formal assessments or makes informal observations, obtains a detailed case history, and formulates therapy goals; your child may need more than one session to complete the full assessment. After assessment, there's a 45-minute follow-up session where you can decide whether you'd like a formal report, before therapy begins targeting the agreed goals.
