About Ability Network
Ability Network is a non-profit disability support service that has been supporting people with disability across Cowra and surrounding communities for 30 years. Ability Network lists
- In-home and Community Supports
- Support with daily living tasks, attending appointments, participating in social and recreational activities, and building skills that promote greater independence. Includes assistance with personal care, transport, shopping, cooking, and attending medical appointments.
- Short Term Respite
- Short to medium term accommodation at Jordan House, a 6-bedroom respite home on scenic acreage, with 24-hour support and engaging activities including a mini farm.
- Groups and Community Participation
- Programs to improve skills in cooking, budgeting, time management, social interaction, health and wellbeing, and independence in everyday activities through centre-based groups and community activities.
- School Leaver Employment Support (SLES)
- A practical program designed to help school leavers with disabilities develop work-readiness skills, gain work experience, and explore volunteer opportunities to increase likelihood of securing employment.
- Allied Health Assistance
- Tailored support programs following assessments from Allied Health Professionals, building confidence and independence in daily living, supporting healthy routines, and assisting with therapy participation.
- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
- Supports for people living with or recovering from mental health conditions, including psychosocial recovery coaching, emotional support, and community inclusion to promote stability and independence.
- Support Coordination
- NDIS support coordination helping participants understand plans, connect with providers, implement services, advocate for needs, and make informed decisions.
- Supported Independent Living
- Assistance in accessing supported independent living services, including help finding appropriate housing and receiving supports in the new home.
- Long Term Accommodation
- Assistance finding appropriate housing with experienced staff available up to 24 hours a day/7 days a week for personal care, healthcare, and support to do things participants want to do at home.
